She won “best coated” and “best black” at the NSW kelpie club speciality show in 2001 and 2002. Ch Callicoma Leica ET HT Chocolate bitch 10/6/1999 – 10/2/2014 Ch Spectre The Barb x Ch Oatland Pipistrelle CD Has excelled in the show ring – has won class in group in all classes. Winner of Junior in Show at Australian Kelpie Club of NSW speciality show in September 2000, Aust Bred bitch and best gaited in April 2001. Winner of best topline, 2nd in best gaited, 2nd in Aust Bred Bitch March 2002 Leica has been hip scored (3:4) and elbow scored (0:0). Completed her ET (endurance trial) in July 2001 – vets commented on her high level of fitness as her temperature and pulse rate decreased at each vet check. In her old age she slowed down a lot – but was still going well at almost 15. Sadly kennel cough went through our dog club and hit some of my dogs including Leica. They always say it is old dogs and puppies that are most at risk, and it really took its toll on her. Her body could not cope with any more 🙁 Best Junior in the kelpie show Pregnant – 1 week to go! Dual Ch (T) Callicoma Capella CDX RA ADM ADO JDM JDO SPDM SDX GDM ET HT Chocolate bitch 24/1/2003 – 27/11/2016 Ch Oatland Chieftan ET x Ch Spectre Blacklock Capella is a dual champion – having attained her championship title in both the show ring and in tracking. She became an Australian Show Champion at the age of 14 months and became a Tracking Champion at the age of of 31 months, making her one of the few dual champion kelpies in Australia. She also competes in obedience, agility and herding and has her CDX (Companion Dog Excellent), RA (Rally Advanced), ADX (Agility Dog Excellent), JDM (Jumping Dog Masters), ADO (Agility Dog Open), JDO (Jumping Dog Open), GDM (Gamblers Dog Masters), SPDM (Strategic Pairs Dog Masters), Snooker Dog Excellent (SDX), HT (Herding Test), ET (Endurance Test) titles. Capella lived the first 9 years of her life with a lovely lady in Sydney, but came back to me when her owner became ill. I continued trialling her and finished off all the titles she was half way through (RA, SPDM, GDM and SDX). It was nice to finish what her previous owner had started. We also showed together a few times, winning best super veteran in show more than a few times. Capella succumbed to old age and had a stroke aged almost 14 🙁 6 months old 12 months old 19 months When Capella was 9 years old the sport of Rally Obedience started – she easily got her novice title almost 10 years old Getting her Strategic Pairs Dog Masters title at almost 11 years old Getting her Rally Advanced titled at almost 11 years old. She is beautifully put together, has excellent movement, and has done well in the show ring, beating best in group winners for best of breed at 10 months of age. Linne has been hip and elbow scored, with excellent results. Her hips scored 0:2 and her elbows 0:0 . She is an Australian Champion and also has her ET (Endurance Test) title and HT (Herding Tested) title. Linne has also been officially temperament tested by accredited Dogs NSW and NSW Dept Local Govt temperament testers. Ch Callicoma Clarence Chocolate dog D.O.B. – 29 June 2013 Ch Tegoura King Othmountn ET x Ch Callicoma Trump Card ET Blue is now 8 years old – time flies!. Lovely friendly outgoing boy, keen to work and loves training. He was very successful being shown as a youngster – 5 x baby in group, 2 x baby in show, 3 x minor in group, 1 x minor in show before 7 months old. 5 x puppy in group, but we did not manage a puppy in show 🙁 Hardly shown in junior – just 2 x junior in group and now just gone in to intermediate class. First show in Intermediate and he got his points up for his Championship title beating grand and supreme champions. He has hardly been shown since then. Blue has full dentition and stands 49cm tall. Photo (right) is at 20 months old. He has been hip and elbow scored – the perfect 0:0 – just like his mum, brother and sister 🙂 Eye checked by an opthalomologist in Dec 21 (aged 8) – all normal. He has been heart checked by a canine cardiologist in May 17, May 18, and June 19 – all clear 🙂 He has been fully DNA tested and profiled and is clear for both forms of CA, CEA and MDR1. He is a carrier of DM and ILM. Blue has now produced some top winning progeny in Australia and New Zealand – Ch Callicoma The Bees Knees winning 2 Best in Groups from Puppy class, four best in shows and well on her way now to her Supreme Champion, and NZ Champion Callicoma Black Java as well as Ch Callicoma Mudstone and Ch Callicoma Karoo Basalt, both from the rocks litter. He has also sired two litters for Kinjarra kelpies and is father of the lovely show winning Ch Kinjarra Georgie As Doll, as well as a litter for Qdos kelpies and for Tyrilebee Kelpies. Ch Tegoura King Oth Mountain ET – “Harry” Chocolate dog 9 Oct 2005 – 11 Jun 2019 Nellarou Der Red Dog x Gr Ch Tegoura Future Direction Harry was hip and elbow x-rayed (hips 4:4 and elbows 0:0). In Sept 15 aged almost 10 he was certified eyes clear by an opthalmologist and heart clear by a cardiologist 🙂 He is a proven sire, with progeny winning in the ring all round the world – NK Int Ch Callicoma Katies Blush, Aus Ch Callicoma Clarence, Aus Int Ch Ballare Mugungalyi and Aus Int Ch Ballare Stukova (all four have been graded with A grade hips). At 16 months old Harry won 1st Junior Dog and Best Headed Dog at The Australian Kelpie Club of NSW Specialty 40th Anniversary show, as well as RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG SYDNEY ROYAL 2007 as a junior. After not being shown in All Breeds shows for 3 years I took Harry to a show in Sept 11, and he won Best In The Working Dog Group on the Saturday and Runner Up to Best In The Working Dog Group on the Sunday! Harry has also been officially temperament tested by accredited Dogs NSW and NSW Dept Local Govt testers and passed. He has his ET (Endurance Test) title. Here is the judge’s critique from 2011 kelpie show: (C. Hobday – Vic) Red approx 19 1/2″, good height length proportions, good head, good reach of neck, well laid back shoulders.
