I make a multi vitamin / mineral mix which combines Vitamin C, Kelp, Brewers
yeast, Dolomite and Vitamin E in the ratios that I use them. You would then
add 1 teaspoon per day per 10kg to your dog's food.

Lectade liquid concentrate
Lectade is useful for dehydrated animals
- supplies energy and salts back to a dehydrated dog or puppy.
Make up solution by
mixing 10ml of concentrate
with 100ml water.
I use lectade on
hot days, especially if we are at a show or trial. Also when bitches are in
pup they often go off their food a bit - I make sure they get lectade in
their water at that time to ensure they get their electrolytes.
Cost - 250ml -
$16.50 |

Flax Seed Oil
- 100% pure human quality cold pressed virgin flax seed oil is a rich source of omega 3
essential fatty acids (60% Omega 3, 17% Omega 6). Dose rates
are 1 teaspoon per 5 kg bodyweight, 1 tablespoon per 20 kg bodyweight,
given once daily and mixed into the food.
Dose can be lowered by half if
your dog is on a raw food diet. For pets with a
history of itchy skin, it is recommended
to stay at the higher dose. Other specific indications for flax seed
oil include allergic dermatitis, flea allergy dermatitis, dry flaky skin and
coat, bad body odour, arthritis, renal failure, bowel disease and some
cancers.
It will produce an exceptional natural
shine in the coat and control the "doggy odour" without needing regular
shampoos.

Livamol - A palatable red powder blend of proteins,
energy and polyunsaturated oils, formulated to improve coat
condition and general appearance of all dogs, including
stud, show, young and convalescent individuals.
Selected omega-3 fatty
acids and high oil protein meals improve coat and skin
appearance. Coat colour may be affected by dietary levels of
minerals such as zinc, copper and iron.
I use it daily on all
my dogs. I find it improves their coat and keeps my
chocolate kelpies dark. I just sprinkle it on their food and
they like the taste.
The ingredients in
Livamol include a range of protein meals, molasses,
pollard, limestone, DCP and Cod Liver Oil. To this are added
the trace elements Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Iodine, Cobalt,
Copper and Vitamins A,D,B1,B2,B6 AND B12. The result is a
concentrated and nutritious conditioning feed additive
suitable for all animals and birds.
