Calcium syrup - an oral calcium used during whelping.

During whelping my bitches get 1 teaspoon after each pup is born or every half an hour, whichever comes first. Calcium is used up by muscles when they contract, so increasing blood calcium levels right when the mother needs it will keep contractions strong.

They love the taste as it is sweet.

Active Ingredient exactly the same as in Calcium Sandoz.

250ml calcium syrup - $18.00
1litre - $42.00

Note - do not supplement a bitch with calcium during pregnancy (unless on a diet lacking calcium!) as excess calcium stores in their body will, ironically, make them more likely to lack calcium in their blood during whelping when they need it quickly.

Vitamin C powder - Ascorbic Acid powder - 1 teaspoon = 4000mg

prices:

100g $8.00
200g $14.00
500g $34.00

(my dogs get 1000mg (= 1g) each per day - more if they are unwell, whelping etc)

Protexin Powder - multi strain probiotic powder - much more concentrated than giving your dog yoghurt to get the "good" bacteria, and also a non dairy source so if your dog is allergic to dairy you can still supplement with a probiotic.

Each gram contains 60 million bacteria of 9 different species including Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum.

My dogs are given 1/4 teaspoon daily, more if unwell, have been on antibiotics, are pregnant etc).

1kg - $77.00
100g - $9.00

Biolac Puppy Milk - Biolac for puppies can be used on all breeds. I have found excellent results on my puppies, it is readily accepted by even new born puppies.

I also mix some in with the meat and veges when puppies first start on solids, that way they love the warm, milky taste and start on meat and veges easily.

Available in:
500g - $24.00
1kg - $40.00
5kg - $160.00

Cooling Pack - suitable for all pets, will stay cool for up to 8 hours even in the heat of the day.

Contains a non toxic gel.

Not to be used uncovered, must be covered with a towel or similar.

Price - $13.50

Optional extra - cover with velcro closure, which you can place the cooling pack in to so your pet does not come in contact with the pack - $5.00

Even baby puppies, unable to walk, will seek out this cool surface in the whelping box when the temperature is hot.

27cm x 17cm

Teats - latex teats suitable for any bottle or syringe with an 18mm - 24mm neck.

There is no hole in the teats - you have to make it yourself. That way you can make it to suit the age and size of the puppy. Pierce the tip of the teat with a hot needle to make a hole. The hole should be large enough for milk to drip out slowly when the bottle or syringe is inverted.

My preferred teat (and the one I keep in stock) is F at right. I have used this to feed kelpie puppies of 100g and above.

If you have a really small breed of dog you might want SD, which I can order in within a few days, but do not have sitting available on hand.

They can be washed with soapy water or placed in baby bottle sanitising solution to clean between uses. Store dried and can dust with some corn flour to keep dry.

Both styles of teat - $2.50 each. (note I do not sell the bottles as I much prefer glass syringes)

Glass syringes - for attaching to teat to deliver formula.

I much prefer using a glass syringe to deliver formula than a bottle or plastic syringe. It slides freely, and does not catch and stick like a plastic syringe can, and you can control the flow which is impossible with a bottle, ie you can hold the plunger back to slow flow or push it slightly to increase flow.

Increments are permanently etched on the glass and will not come off.

Can be cleaned by boiling or cleaning with soapy water and a small bottle brush or by placing in baby bottle sterilising solution.

10ml size (actually holds 12ml but increments only marked to 10).

10ml - $17.20

Id bands - fleece

Ultrasoft, made from fleece - 12mm wide strips of fleece - soft and comfortable with a little "give".

Strips are 1m long, you cut to length required and tie round your puppies' necks.

6 pack of different colours - $7.00
12 pack of different colours - $13.00

Id bands - ric rac -  ric rac in assorted colours. Sold in 1m lengths - you cut to size and tie on.

I have tried tying ribbon on, but the knot usually slips, however ric rac holds the knot well. You should tie the Id band quite firmly (should be able to just slip one finger under) to avoid puppies getting their legs through, and please remember to check each day and adjust or replace when necessary.

6 different colours (1m lengths) - $5.00
12 different colours (1m lengths) - $9.00

Please allow me to choose the colours. All colours in a pack will be quite different. Tell me if your puppies are all black or all white etc as then I would not send you black or white.

My puppies stay in ric rac bands right until they leave here at 8 weeks.

Puppy Collars - for bigger puppies you might like to use little clip on collars.
